The embassy denied Russia’s involvement in cyberattacks in Ukraine

The Russian embassy in the United States called the accusations against Moscow of cyber attacks on Ukrainian state websites unfounded

Moscow categorically denies accusations from the administration of US President Joe Biden of involvement in cyber attacks on Ukrainian government websites. About it says in a message from the Russian embassy in the United States on Twitter.

The Russian side drew attention to the statement of Deputy Assistant to the President of the United States for National Security Ann Neuberger, who admitted the involvement of Russian intelligence services in cyber attacks on the websites of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense and a number of Ukrainian banks. The embassy considered Neuberger’s statements unfounded.

“Russia has nothing to do with the mentioned events and, in principle, has never carried out and does not conduct “malicious” operations in the virtual space,” the diplomatic mission assured.

The US authorities believe that the Russian government is responsible for large-scale cyber attacks on Ukrainian banks and the website of the Ministry of Defense, stated on the eve of Neuberger during the briefing.
