Long -term announcements of Yle Radio 1 Maaria Holma and Tuija Kurvinen has been dismissed from YLE.
Iltalehti reached Kurvinen by phone. Kurvinen started his work at Yle for hourly wages in 2001.

As a result of the change negotiations, the number of employees is reduced by 309. There are 156 redundancies.
The current announcement practice is still in use on Yle TV1 and next week on the radio. The last TV announcements will be on TV1 on March 23.
