Lauri Markkanen was out of Utah’s last home game of the season due to a hand injury, but the man told reporters during the match his thoughts on the upcoming int gig.

– We’re not playing in the playoffs this year, so it’s good to do it now instead of postponing it and having to do it at a time that doesn’t suit me so well, Markkanen justified the timing for KSL.

NBA star completes military sports academy. He will join the service on 17.4. The Intti lasts six, nine or 12 months in Finland, depending on the education.

– This has to be done in two installments, because the summers are not long enough for it to be done in one summer. Let’s see how many days I can complete during this summer and then continue from there, Markkanen said.

Coach’s concern

Utah coach Will Hardy also shared his thoughts on Markkanen’s int plans.

– He lives in a country with different requirements than ours. It came as a surprise when I heard about it. It’s something we’ve been talking about all year, Hardy revealed.

The man is not very excited about his star player’s military command.

– When the world’s situation is like this, it’s never a good feeling when someone close to you goes to the army, Hardy stated.

The man hopes that the Finn will stay safe and come back healthy.

– It’s interesting to see him in an army uniform and watch how everything goes. He has been mentally preparing for it for some time. We will try to support him in every possible way, Hardy concluded.
