The 2025 tango kingers are crowned in the Tango Market in Seinäjoki. The title of the tango king took Veeti Tikkanen and tango queen Hanna Hirvonen.

– I’m such a critic to myself that I probably look at the recording of what had to be done on the stage.
Hirvonen emphasizes that the competition was even tougher this year. For him, each competitor was very skilled and knowledgeable in his own areas.
“You can say that any crown could have given,” he says.
Hirvonen seems particularly significant that he was selected as a queen, specifically voted by the public.

Fresh tango king Veeti Tikkanen says that the crown means to fulfill her childhood dream.
Tikkanen has previously won Tangovekara and Tango Young competitions. The goal of the Tango King’s title was born after the last win.
“At the latest, I thought it was this crown, which I would start to pursue,” he says.

Tikkanen says he was sensitized at the start of the finale, for it was only then that he realized he was close to the dream come true.
– I cried a little and sensitized. I could find that feeling and sensitivity next turn for these competition bets, he describes.
He says that even though the chances of victory were known, the final and the end result was completely surprised.
“This is a gift,” he says.
