The local council has decreed official mourning from 2:00 p.m. this Saturday until 2:00 p.m. this Monday, during which the flags of the Corral de Almaguer City Council will fly at half-staff in public buildings. In addition, the consistory has suspended “all official acts in which this corporation participates during the declaration of mourning.”
breathe through the mouth
Apparently, and according to local media, the young woman was with a group of friends refilling several lighters with a gas canister, one of those that can be bought at tobacconists for about five euros. And as has become fashionable among young people, Sabina Natalia inhaled the gas from one of them through her mouth and got up.
It started to stagger because he was short of breath and fell, hitting the ground. Now the Civil Guard is investigating whether the death was caused by the blow received or by gas inhalation.

That gas that Natalia inhaled is known as isobutane gas or blue gas. The effects caused by the inhalation of this gas are similar to alcohol: disinhibition, euphoria… but also lack of coordination in movements, dizziness, headaches, plugged ears and even lightheadedness.
Hallucinations and sudden death
Its prolonged use generates hallucinations, since it deteriorates myelin, which is the fatty tissue that covers neurons. Other irreversible damage from long-term inhalation practices include hearing loss, neuropathies (glimpsed in limb spasms and seizures), and damage to the central nervous system. But inhaling concentrated doses of butane can lead to sudden death syndrome with a single intake and this can occur due to heart failure, caused by the abuse of the substance; or by suffocation, as the component displaces air from the lungs.
