‘The Crown’ actor Stephen Greif (78) passed away | Celebrities

“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our wonderful client Stephen Greif,” the agency wrote on Twitter. “His career has spanned countless roles on screen and stage, including at the National Theatre, RSC and the West End. We will miss him and our thoughts are with his family and friends.”

Greif is best known in his own country for roles in the series ‘Coronation Street’ and ‘Eastenders’. In the 1970s, he starred in the popular SF series ‘Blake’s 7’. Outside the UK, Greif is best known for his role in ‘The Crown’. In the series about the British royal family, he played Speaker of the House Sir Bernard Weatherill.
