Italian fashion designer David Renne has died at the age of 46. The chairman of Moschino’s parent company Aeffe informs about the matter Massimo Ferretti in the company’s announcement.

CNN– and New York Times – newspapers, Renne died on November 10 in Milan. The fashion designer had started work as the creative director of the fashion house Moschino just nine days earlier. Moschino’s first collection under Renne was scheduled to be unveiled at Milan Fashion Week in February 2024.

– It is difficult to describe in words the pain we experience in these dramatic times. Davide joined us just a few days ago, but a sudden illness took him from us too soon. We still can’t believe what has happened, Ferretti regrets the situation in the press release.

– Even though he was with us for a very short time, Davide managed to make himself loved and respected. Today, our task is to continue what his imagination and creativity had time to envision. We send our deepest condolences to his family and friends, the chairman adds in conclusion.

Renne has previously worked, among other things, as the manager of Gucci’s women’s clothing department. He worked at that company since 2004 before moving to Moschino. Before that, he worked for fashion designer Alessandro Dell’Acqua in Milan for four years. The fashion designer was born and raised in Follonica in Tuscany, Italy, but later moved to Florence to study at the Polimoda fashion school.
