Super -popular Biozell treating tones have been completely redesigned. The new Color Glow tones no longer contain any silicones.
Silicones are commonly used in hair care products. They make the hair soft, but at the same time burden the environment. Silicone production consumes a lot of energy and their carbon footprint is bigger than many other similar ingredients. Also, silicones are not biodegradable.
The use of silicones has already been restricted by legislation and the situation is constantly alive.
Finnish Biozell follows the debate and has already made major changes to the products:
The popular Biozell Color Mask and Color Tech tones sold in grocery stores are about to remain in history and leave sales. They will be replaced by the Color Glow product line.
“We have taken the best features from the Color Mask and Color Tech series and created it based on Color Glown,” says the product development Hanna Nikula Biozell.
There is one big change in new tones compared to the old ones: Color Glow has no silicones at all.
– Once we were able to formulate these products without silicones, we thought we would do it. This is a matter of responsibility for us, Nikula says.
The use of silicones has already been restricted by legislation and the situation is constantly alive.
– Of the silicones, for example, cyclopentasilosanan is becoming under regulation and is likely to be banned, Nikula says, says that Biozell follows legislation and silicone debate with an accurate ear.
Consumers have also become awakened to silicone problems and have been hoping for silicone -free products for a long time.
– With this decision, we have also responded to consumers’ wishes.

Trend raw material for hair too
As a new raw material for the Color Glow series, vitamin B3 has recently been added in skin care in skin care.
In January 2025, Iltalehti said that water-soluble vitamin B3, or niacinamide, is a versatile ingredient. In skin care, for example, it helps to smooth lines, fades enlarged pores, lighten the skin darkening pigmentation changes, and helps with acne skin as it reduces inflammation, redness of the skin and helps to curb sebum production.
Color Glow products are manufactured in Finland. Care tones are primarily intended for dyed hair. Even after the renovation, tinting shampoos and tinting shampoo will continue in the selection.
