Despite the initial shock, Foxhoven decided to stay in Russia. He wanted to respect his contract and play it. The dream was still a professional career in the United States.
According to Foxhoven, the players once were given 20 pills during the meal. They were reportedly “vitamins” that all had to eat. A coach who called himself a “king of science” followed by the side of that each player popped every pill.
When Foxhoven was injured, he was ordered to the coach’s room. There, the player was informed that he should be given a spike due to a muscle injury. When the woman refused, the coach forcibly poured her on the floor and gave her a spike in the buttocks.
According to Foxhoven, sparkling continued for months. Eventually, the woman got enough and went back to the United States after five months.
Foxhoven immediately applied for toxicological tests in his home country, as the woman wanted to know what the Russians had spiked in her.
According to tests, Foxhoven had used three different anabolic steroids.
Career ended
After a visit to Russia, Foxhoven still played in Portland Thorns and Seattle Reign before he decided to end his career at the age of 25.
Foxhoven played four matches in the US U23 team in his career, but the dream of playing in the A national team was never fulfilled.
In 2016, Foxhoven tried to work as a coach for the Purdue Northwest University team, but a year later the woman completely withdrew from the sport.
