Grammy-winning rap artist Coolio, real name Artis Leon Ivey Jr, passed away recently at only 59 years old. The artist’s official cause of death has not been made public, but the close circle has revealed their suspicions.

Coolio’s friends say the rapper suffered from asthma, which they suspect is the cause of his early and sudden death.

According to those close to him, Coolio was in good spirits and in good health before his death, but he had difficulty breathing at times due to years of asthma. The artist always had asthma pipes with him.

The suspicions of loved ones are confirmed by the fact that, according to the American Heart Association, people living with asthma have a higher risk of having a heart attack or stroke despite medication.

A close relative confirmed that Coolio had asthma, for which he used medication to open the airways. PDO

The sudden death was still a shock to the loved ones. Coolio was found dead at his friend’s apartment, where he was visiting. After 45 minutes of CPR, Coolio was pronounced dead.

– I’ve spent a lot of time with him over the weeks and months and I still don’t know the cause of his death, because I didn’t see anything that could indicate that he was sick or that something could happen to him, Coolio’s friend Jordan told.

Coolio’s rap career began in California in the late 1980s. However, he rose to global fame in 1995 when he released Gangsta’s Paradise for the soundtrack of the film Dangerous Minds.
