THEto miniseries The invisible The capture of Matteo Messina Money – up Rai 1 and RaiPlay on 2 and 3 February – tells of the exploit of Colonel Lucio Gambera, head of the ROS Carabinieri team tasked with capturing the mafia boss Matteo Messina Denaro. Gambera has been on the trail of the fugitive for years but, due to repeated failures, he received an ultimatum from his Commander: He has three months to complete the task, after which he and his team will be replaced.
Thus begins a fight against time to track down the fugitive, a mission that requires many sacrifices. Thanks to the perseverance of his team, a few days before the deadline, the Colonel discovers some pizzini hidden in the house of Messina Denaro’s sister, containing details on the boss’s health conditions and the clinic where he is treated. Information that allows him to organize a high-voltage operation at the end of which the boss is finally arrested.
