The city, the neighbourhood: varying speed limit E17 Kortrijk welcomed everywhere

Yesterday it was announced that the maximum speed on the E17 between Kortrijk-Oost and Aalbeke will be lower next year. But that will not always be the case, only when it is very busy and also only in the direction of France. The Roads and Traffic Agency installs detection loops under the road surface.

The city of Kortrijk has been striving for a permanent reduction to 90 per hour in both directions for years. The reduction in one direction of travel is therefore too little, the city says. And the people around are not really positive either. (read more below the video)
