Television’s New Year is full of music.

The New Year will be celebrated on television with no less than two live concert broadcasts. You can follow the change of the year on both TV1 and Nelonen.

On Yle’s broadcast, the new year is welcomed in Oulu, which will be the European capital of culture in 2026.

Performers in the celebratory concert broadcast live from Ouluhalli BessHot, Plush, Suvi Teräsniska, Ege Zulu and Goldielocks.

Yle’s 100th anniversary will also be celebrated in 2026.

The fourth New Year’s broadcast is sent from Helsinki’s Kansalaistor. They take the stage Ares, Erika Vikman and KAJ. Broadcasting hosts Jaana Pelkonen and Christopher Strandberg.

In Helsinki, the New Year’s speech is delivered by the city’s mayor Daniel Sazonov. At the turn of the year, we see a spectacular pyro display.

Yle and Nelonen’s broadcasts are on the screen for almost exactly the same time. of TV1 The year changes – broadcast starts at 22:40 and ends five minutes after midnight. Four of them Helsinki New Year – the broadcast starts already at 22:30 and lasts a quarter past midnight.

There are also plenty of concert recordings outside of these broadcasts. At 19:30 Nelonen will present the recording Maija Vilkumaan from the Tampere concert a year ago. The Vilkku-Maa show was originally seen at the Nokia Arena on December 5, 2024.

Teema & Femi, on the other hand, shows a recording of Ultra Bra’s concert at the Olympic Stadium last summer at 9:00 p.m. The August concert was originally televised as a delayed live broadcast.

At 11:12 PM, Teema & Femi will rerun the French National Day celebration concert, which was filmed in Paris in July.

After midnight, Suvi Teräsniska’s performance from the Radio Suomen Summer Concert will be shown on TV1. It was recorded at the end of May. So Suvi Teräsniska’s concerts are shown on TV1 in two consecutive broadcasts.

On New Year’s Day, TV1 will broadcast a traditional show live New Year’s concert from Vienna. It will be shown at 12:30, right after the President of the Republic’s New Year’s speech.
