It is not yet known what causes the strange odor that was smelled on Friday evening in Adrianus VI Street in Heesch. Residents then raised the alarm, but no hazardous substances were measured.
Network operator Enexis ruled out a gas leak and on Sunday the municipality reported that no hazardous substances had been measured and that the cause has not yet been found.
“We continue to actively investigate this and are looking at additional measures, such as flushing the sewer to rule out causes,” the municipality says.
