In The Card Counter, Paul Schrader tells the story of poker player William Tell (Oscar Isaac), who is haunted by memories of serving as a soldier in Abu Ghraib prison. When he meets young Cirk (Tye Sheridan), who seeks revenge on then-interrogator Gordo (Willem Dafoe), Tell must confront his past. FFK taps Schrader’s new film.
