The Jalitsu hall in Tampere’s Hervanta collapsed on Thursday evening.
Chairman of the board of Tampere Pallo-Veikko Jouni Kaikuranta says that the children’s soccer practice had been going on in the hall, when the roof of the bubble hall started to sag downwards due to the weight of the snow.
The children and coaches inside the hall managed to get out before the hall completely collapsed, and no one was hurt.

According to Kaikuranta, the exercises now have to be moved to other places and some exercises may have to be canceled completely.
– That has been a very important place for TPV and Ilves. Of course, if the weather warms up, you can probably practice on the heated artificial grass, but during January and February it was a really valuable place when it was freezing cold, says Kaikuranta.
This is the second time this winter that the Jalitsu hall has collapsed. Morning newspaper by the hall collapsed due to the Hannes storm at the end of December.
