The brother of the former Macri minister who seeks to govern Entre Ríos

In every province, the libertarian presidential candidate, Javier Milei, has been having trouble finding a competitive candidate. His references have been coming out third or fourth. This past weekend, Milei was visiting Entre Ríos and was in the crowd with his local candidate.

The candidate, however, has a complex judicial past. He was found guilty in a case for embezzlement and is being prosecuted in another file for emptying.

In November 2022, he was convicted of being involved in a case of embezzlement in a complaint filed by his sister, Dolores Etchevehere, against him and his two brothers, Juan Diego and Luis María.

According to the ruling, former minister Etchevehere used for personal use, his brothers and his mother a line of credit at a subsidized rate to finance soybean exports. They all got involved.

The other case, in which Milei’s candidate is involved, is the emptying of the newspaper El Diario in the city of Paraná, which left more than 80 workers without work and they were not paid compensation. This case was also uncovered by a complaint from his sister Dolores de él.

The elections in Entre Ríos will be next August 13, the PASO and then the general ones in October, at the same time as the presidential ones. Perhaps Etchevehere’s main success factor is going on the same ticket with Milei, something that his colleagues from other provinces did not have.
