Thanks also to the help of Hannah (Claudia Gerini), the director of the orphanage who doesn’t give up in the face of Balmani’s disappearance and decides to look for him, the two will finally manage to reach their goal. In fact, it will be Hannah herself who finds the two little runaways, scared and exhausted, and to accompany them to the monastery, following the melodious singing of the monks.

A breathtaking adventure inspired by a true story
Directed by Brando Quilici, son of the great photographer and writer Folco Quilici, The boy and the tiger And a family movie full of adventure, good feelings and breathtaking landscapes. Filmed in the pristine nature of the jungle Chitwan in Nepal and on the spectacular and impervious peaks of the High Himalayas, the film focuses on the relationship between man and nature. This is the underlying theme of the story which offers few but significant messages, including the denunciation of the risk of extinction of the Bengal tiger (there are now fewer than 4,000 examples left).
Despite the linear and relatively simple plot of this family tale, Quilici manages to make the story compelling. And to excite the spectator, tenderly capturing the moments between the little protagonist, the very good Sunny Pawar already seen in Lionand the beautiful little tiger.
As the director stated in an interview with TV Smiles and Songs, the film is inspired by a true story: «He told me about it Maggie Doyne, an American who runs an orphanage in Nepalthere,” Quilici said. “One day, one of her children left alone to reach his village in India and Maggie traveled far and wide to find him. Just like the character of Hannah played by Claudia Gerini does.”
The cast also features an intense Claudia Gerini
«It was a beautiful adventure. I fell in love with the kids at the orphanage. They are self-employed, they cultivate the garden and make their own food! Sunny is also very sweet, an instinctive actor, he knows how to go from smile to sadness in an instant». As Claudia Gerini has always told TV Smiles and Songs his experience on the set of The boy and the tiger.
