Rumors have been running wild about whether the tech giant Apple will once again sell larger iMacs. Apple announced the end of production of 27-inch iMacs after releasing the Mac Studio in 2022.

However, the rumors in question have been debunked now, when Bloomberg’s Apple expert Mark Gurman would hint at it very slightly in his newsletter.

– I have been told that the company is working on an iMac larger than 30 inches, Gurman stated.

Of course, such rumors should not be taken terribly seriously just yet, but this gives hope to the biggest Apple fans. Gourmet has been found to be one of the most reliable Apple insider information associated sources.

Apple’s iMacs are the company’s desktop computers, which are popular for, among other things, heavy video and image work.

Power grinder with an M3 chip?

With greater certainty, Gurman says that 24-inch iMacs are coming from the company, but there is still no information about their specific performance.

According to Macrumors these would possibly use the M3 silicon chip, which is coming to several of the company’s new devices. M3 is still in test use and will be expected in next year’s models.

In certain test versions, the M3 has meant a 12-core processor, 18 graphics cores and 36 gigabytes of central memory. The processor is split in two, where 6 cores run processes that require more power. The other six run other processes.

Gourmet guesses in his previous newsletter, that the M3 could become an even more powerful Ultra version, which could have a 28-core processor and more than 80 graphics cores.
