The Finnish Baker Association has awarded the K-supermarket Lippulaiva Lippulaiva in Espoo, according to Kesko’s bulletin.
-We have done a lot of work to include local products as well as traditional favorites, says K-supermarket Lippulaiva merchant Juuso Österman in the bulletin.
The merchant believes that the choice is due, among other things, to the fact that they have self -baked bread and buns every day of the year. In addition, the selection is complemented by all kinds of seasonal treats.

The sale of K-food stores reveals that the share of oat bread in particular in the sale of light bread has increased significantly lately.
Finns also have accurate preferences of bread. We want to buy a variety of pieces and pre -sliced products than whole breads much more often.
Finns’ attitudes towards bread have changed in recent years.
– In the past, different diets have caused many to avoid bread, but nowadays attitude has become more positive: bread is seen as a delicious enjoyment and an important part of food culture. This is also reflected in the fact that sales of baking points and store bakeries have grown significantly, reveals Kesko’s Purchasing and Sales Director Carita Rissanen in the bulletin.
Various coffee breads have also gained popularity. Their sales increased by 6.4 %, compared to 2024 to the year before.
Buying delicious products is emphasized, especially on weekends. During the week, so -called basic breads are favored. These include high-fiber multi-grain, whole grain and seed breads.
