The Bakery Museum in Veurne closes

In the meantime, the museum is building its future. And you can take that literally. A brand new reception and workshop pavilion is currently being built on the museum grounds. The museum itself and the historic garden are also getting a complete makeover. If all goes well, the renovated Bakery Museum will reopen on July 1, 2023.

Liesbeth Inghelram, curator: “After many years of intensive use, the museum is in need of a thorough update. Since its inception, the Bakery Museum has been the proud treasurer of the baking craft in Flanders. In the future we will continue to focus on preserving and passing on the craftsmanship & baking culture. We want to be an open house where everyone feels welcome. Interaction, recognition and amazement will therefore be central in the new museum”.
