Over the past weeks, representatives of the Chechen authorities have expressed threats against him. The Kremlin believes that the situation is still under control, but does not give detailed comments.

• The Chechen authorities accuse the Yangulbaev family of aiding terrorists. The two sons of Yangulbaev Sr. were engaged in human rights and criticized Ramzan Kadyrov. In addition, the Chechen authorities suspect him of running the 1ADAT Telegram channel, which was recognized as extremist by a court in Grozny. The wife of Yangulbaev Sr., Zarema Musaeva, was taken from Nizhny Novgorod to Grozny in January by Chechen security forces as a witness in a fraud case. Already in Grozny, a woman with diabetes was accused of using violence against a government official and sent under arrest. Yangulbaev himself and the rest of his family left Russia after that.
• Yangulbaev Sr. promises to file a complaint against the decision of his former Chechen colleagues. He believes that the decision is illegal. “There is no reason to terminate this status. This is stated in the law. This can only be done if I have obtained citizenship or a residence permit in another state. We will appeal this decision to the High Qualifications Board of Judges of Russia,” the ex-judge said.
• Ramzan Kadyrov has already promised that if the Yangulbaev family resists, they will be liquidated. Following him, other officials also made threats – for example, in a video message filmed by Chechen Deputy Prime Minister Abuzaid Vismuradov and a group of security officials Yangulbaev, they promise to cut off their heads, deputy Adam Delimkhanov made similar threats. State Duma deputy from Chechnya, member of United Russia Shamsail Saraliev stood up for his colleagues: he claims that this is just a metaphor.
• The Kremlin does not believe that the situation in Chechnya is out of control, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, confirming that Kadyrov met with Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin the night before. In response to a question whether the situation around the Yangulbaevs was discussed at the meeting, Peskov said that he had given the wording “that he could give” on this conversation and could not add anything.
