The authorities of Nagorno-Karabakh asked Putin to increase the number of peacekeepers

The Security Council of Nagorno-Karabakh sent an official letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin with a request to increase the number of peacekeepers and military equipment in the region. About it informs “News of Armenia” agency with reference to the main information department of the president of the republic.

“We ask you to reconsider the current number of Russian peacekeepers and the number of facilities serving them and, accordingly, increase the number of servicemen and military equipment,” the letter says.

The department added that the authorities of Nagorno-Karabakh have formed constructive working relations with the peacekeepers and are ready to provide the personnel of the contingent with the necessary living conditions.

Putin discussed with Pashinyan the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh

The day before, on March 25, Putin discussed with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, which has developed in the zone of responsibility of Russian peacekeepers as a result of the advance of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces. Pashinyan called the situation tense.
