Attorney General asks Supreme Court to designate Columbine as a terrorist movement

The Prosecutor General’s Office asked the Supreme Court to recognize the Columbine movement as a terrorist movement, RBC was told in the press service of the court.

The report does not specify what exactly is meant by the Columbine movement. The meeting itself will be closed, since “the case contains information related to state secrets,” RBC’s correspondent was told in the Supreme Court.

In September last year, the Public Chamber proposed to recognize Columbine as a terrorist community. They indicated that such a decision would allow law enforcement agencies to more successfully deal with communities that contain calls for attacks on educational institutions, as well as with their creators.

As Elena Mizulina, director of the Safe Internet League, noted, there is “a huge amount of information about school shooting” on social networks, and the number of subscribers of such groups has already reached a million.
