The NBA today announced the launch of the reimagined global NBA App, an all-in-one destination for league fans from all franchises.

The NBA announced this Tuesday the launch of the reimagined global NBA App, an all-in-one destination for league fans from all franchises. With completely new customization features, the NBA application will provide content from each match of the competition and will feature vertical social-style videosunprecedented behind-the-scenes access to players and teams, schedules, new and existing series, and access to the league archive.

In addition, the NBA has released NBA-ID, the league’s new global subscription program offering fans benefits and rewards from the league, teams and their partners. NBA-IDwhich is free, will link fan experiences with existing products such as NBA League Pass and NBA Pick’Em.
Access to new digital content
Throughout the season, NBA ID members will have access to new original content and favorites from everything the league has to offer. Additionally, there will be enhanced experiences just for members of the NBA-ID such as ticket promotions, prizes through predictive fantasy games and NBA Pick’Em, voting campaigns and other benefits.
The new app is powered by the NBA’s new integrated digital platform, which was created in partnership with Microsoft, the league’s official cloud and AI partner.. The app now features a sleek new design, a one-of-a-kind “for you” experience, with content recommendations based on fan preferences and personalization powered by Microsoft Azure and Azure AI.
Within the “For You” page of the app, fans can access a vertical video experience similar to social networks, with vertical scrolling, featuring real-time highlights from every NBA game going on.
‘Hoop Cities’, a docuseries with Seville as the protagonist
In the App it will also be possible to find ‘Hoop cities’, a docuseries of eight parts in the same language produced by the NBA’s Europe and Middle East team exploring the local culture, history and communities surrounding the game in the following European cities: Belgrade (Serbia), Bologna (Italy), Cologne & Leverkusen (Germany), Istanbul (Turkey), Kaunas (Lithuania), Paris (France), Seville (Spain) and Thessaloniki (Greece).
