We have visited them for you, even if only virtually.

1. A mysterious pentagram

In Kazakhstan there is actually a place that reveals a giant pentagram through Google Maps. It has a diameter of a whopping 366 meters and has been puzzling the internet community for a few years. After all, with these dimensions it should be the largest pentagram on earth. A pentagram is actually a symbol of banishment and defense against evil if only one point points upwards. If, on the other hand, it is upside down as shown, the two star points pointing upwards symbolize the devil horns of a satanic billy goat. How does the mystical sign near the city of Lisakovsk get there?

Now the mystery is solved and it’s a little disappointing. Archaeologist Emma Usmanova aired opposite livescience the secret behind the five-pointed star. “It’s the outline of a park in the shape of a star,” she explained. The supposed pentagram is thus a Soviet star. The star symbol was popular at the time, adorning facades, buildings and monuments. The spooky place on Google Maps thus has historical origins.
