At the last World Cup in 2022, fans had to do without beer in the stadiums. It will be the same at the 2034 finals.

There will be no alcohol in the stadiums at the 2034 World Cup in Saudi Arabia. The Guardian reports this, citing its own sources. FIFA has not yet commented on the issue.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia completely banned alcohol in the country in 1952. Alcohol is only available in one store in Riyadh in the entire country. This brings back memories of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar for many football fans. There, too, alcoholic beer was not allowed to be consumed in the stadiums. In Saudi Arabia, unlike in Qatar, alcohol is not even allowed to be sold in luxury hotels; the rules are even stricter.

According to the Guardian, FIFA doesn’t want to go against Saudi Arabia’s requirements, so there won’t be any beer in the stadiums.
