More than 20.5 million returns have been filed, of which more than 13 million are with a result to be returned

The Rent Campaign and Heritage 2021 It ends this Thursday, June 30, according to the calendar of the Tax Agency. In this way, taxpayers have just a few hours to prepare the income tax returns corresponding to the exercise passed before the end of the Campaign, which started on April 6.

In the cases of declarations with result to enter with direct debit, the campaign concluded last Monday, June 27.

So far there have been more than 20.5 million declarations, of which more than 13 million are with a result to be returned, according to data from the Tax Agency to which Europa Press had access.

In the campaign as a whole, the presentation of 21,921,000 declarations, 0.9% more than last year, and of that total it is expected that 14,350,000 will give the right to a refund (two thirds of the total and 1.1% more than the previous year) for an estimated amount of 11,122 million euros (5.8% more).

The Tax Agency also foresees un total of 5,971,000 declarations to enter (1.5% less) for an amount of 13,400 million euros.

Main novelties

This year, as main novelties, is the increase in the sections of the Tax on the Personal Income Tax (IRPF) for the highest incomes, the greatest vigilance of investments in cryptocurrencies or aid for people affected by the La Palma volcano.

specificallyto, increases two points of the state rate that taxes labor income of more than 300,000 euros, up to 47%, and three points for capital income of more than 200,000 euros, up to 26%, which will affect a reduced number of 36,194 taxpayers (0.17%), with an impact of 491.4 million euros (144 million in 2021 and 346 million in 2022), according to the estimates of the Treasury.

In addition, in 2021 the deductions from individual private pension plans to 2,000 euros as maximum contribution, while the joint reduction limit (participant and company) was raised from 8,000 to 10,000 euros in company plans to boost business contributions and correct the “regressivity” of these benefits, according to the Government. The measure will provide a collection of 580 million in 2022.

Regarding the Wealth Tax, last year the Budgets introduced a 1% increase for assets of more than 10 million euros, up to a rate of 3.5%.
