The 13th stage of the Tour de France – Le Bourg d’Oisans – Saint-Étienne (192.6 km)

As of: 07/14/2022 9:24 p.m

The 13th stage of the Tour de France at a glance

Assessment: Goodbye Alps! The fast people who didn’t break the time limit in the mountains will join in this call and be happy that they finally don’t get to ride flatter terrain. The section of almost 200 kilometers is a classic “transition stage”. It first goes through Grenoble before the route crosses the Rhône Valley. About halfway through the route, there is a sprint rating (at kilometer 101), which is framed by two moderate mountain ratings at kilometer 80 and 148. After that at the latest, the sprint teams will set their sights on any breakaways and shorten the distance so that their fast people at the end of the day can decide the victory in Saint-Étienne among themselves.
