Jessie J laughed through the pain and fear while she was diagnosed with her breast cancer diagnosis. Just a few days after she had made it public that she had “early” breast cancer, the singer looked back on her health trip in a new video. And revealed that she had several breast biopsies shortly before a planned appearance.
Appearance with pain – but humor
The singer posted a video of her appearance at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club From April, in which she played several reduced versions of her songs. And took time to make jokes over her breasts.
“Be honest with yourself. Not to your friends or family or everyone else, but what you love and who you are, what makes you special. You should concentrate on that,” she said on stage during the April appearance. “And on my huge, perfect tits.” The video clearly shows how nervous Jessie was while she came through the show with jokes.
In the caption, Jessie wrote that she felt “a certain discomfort” after the five biopsies. But still wanted to appear. “I was so hyped on the performance and didn’t want to cancel,” she wrote. “The more I look at this appearance, the more I recognize how my brain works in over mode so as not to burst everything out.”
Openness brings support
She added: “To laugh in difficult times and to jokes 🤝🏻 I am.”
On Wednesday, Jessie revealed the news about her health. And emphasized that “earlier” breast cancer was diagnosed. “I emphasize the word ‘early’,” she said. “Cancer is terrible in every form. But I stick to the word early. I was always in investigations all this time.”
Jessie said she made her diagnosis publicly to get along with it and combine with others. Because openness brings support. “I can keep my nipples. That’s good,” she said. And later added: “I will be after the Summertime Ball [am 15. Juni] For a while disappear to let me operate. And I come back with huge tits and new music. ”
In her Instagram stories, the singer said that she had kept the cancer message to herself for nine weeks. And confesses that she took time to process her and talk about it.
