Harry Styles is opting for a new concept on the “Together, Together” tour. Why this is the better choice for him.
Harry Styles’ new record “Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally” will be released on March 6, 2026. The album is considered one of the most anticipated releases of the year. From May 2026, the British singer will go on a large-scale tour – on his last “Love On” tour he traveled around the world and played in a total of 32 cities. This time it looks different: Harry Styles is foregoing a lot of traveling. He now explained why.
This is what the new concept looks like
The pop star recently gave an interview to Zane Lowe for Apple Music. In it he explained why he wanted to forego all the traveling on his upcoming tour. On his “Together, Together” tour he is relying on a so-called residency concept. Although he still plays 60 shows around the globe, these don’t take place in 32 cities, but only in seven. So there will be multiple shows in just one location instead of one gig in many locations.
The Grammy award winner is convinced that he can deliver a “better show” this way. As he explained in the interview: “I mean, I think a lot of my thinking behind it is that I think it makes the show better. I think you can build something that doesn’t have to move every night. I think the show itself is better. I think there’s something about it that allows me to stay in my life during it. And so I think it allows me to take better care of myself, which I think makes me better at doing that.”
So the singer firmly believes that he will be better able to perform for his fans without the stress of traveling.
Will Harry Styles never tour classically again?
Before fans panic that Harry Styles will never come to their city again, one can give the all-clear: He added that he doesn’t plan to never travel extensively again: “I’m not saying I’ll never travel again, but I want to see what it’s like if you do it differently.”
The 32-year-old also justified the residency concept by saying that it was also less stressful for the musicians in his band to be on the road a lot: “And the people in my band now have families and children, and that also plays a role. It’s really important to me that they are on tour with me, I would like them to be there. I don’t want to make it impossible for them to come with me.”
“Together, Together” tour starting in May
The big Harry Styles residency tour starts in Amsterdam from May 16, 2026. Over the course of the tour he will appear in London, São Paulo and Mexico City before playing a whopping 30 gigs at New York’s Madison Square Garden. The grand finale will take place in Melbourne and Sydney.
At each tour stop he is supported by a different artist – including Shania Twain, Jamie xx, Jorja Smith and Fcukers.
