That’s tradition! Bibber bathing in Wannsee on Good Friday

Pool operations start the season

Ten degrees outside and seven degrees water temperature. Plus drizzle. That doesn’t stop die-hard Berliners from bathing!

The bathing establishments invited to the traditional Good Friday event at the Strandbad Wannsee. At twelve o’clock there was already a lot going on at the entrance. The motto was: put on your bathing suit and jump into the rather cold water!

For warming up after the bath, the bathing establishments set up three mobile saunas.

The Wannsee lido is open until Easter Monday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with free admission. From Tuesday the ticket costs 3.50 euros.

Then, however, only sunbathing is allowed – if the weather cooperates.
