Daphne Deckers is being severely criticized by her followers, because the robins in her garden are at serious risk of dying from hunger, thirst and exhaustion. “They can get tangled.”

The current winter is tough enough for little birds, but if you hang out in Daphne Deckers’ garden, your life as an innocent robin is certainly not at all safe. The author has placed all kinds of fat balls, including a net, in her garden. She herself is enthusiastic about it. “Robin comes to my buffet!” she writes.

Buffet of death

What kind of buffet? A buffet of death. “The plastic net surrounding the fat ball is extremely dangerous for birds, because they can become entangled in it with their legs or beak,” explains RTL News out. “Birds can then die of hunger, thirst and exhaustion.”

“Some larger birds, such as seagulls, can also swallow the entire ball, net and all, in one go. But it is not only a danger to birds. Mice can also accidentally hang themselves on it.”

Terror garden

A real terror garden for the animal kingdom. Fortunately, Daphne was quickly confronted about it by her angry supporters. “I received a lot of responses that I had to remove the nets from the bulbs, otherwise the birds could get their feet tangled in them. So now the seeds are loose in the house, and we can breathe easy again.”

A little later it is seen that the robin that was hanging around Daphne’s buffet of death is fortunately still alive. “The robin is happy with her indoor shopping center,” she writes affectionately.
