That’s how much an hour of sex costs in Berlin

Germany in the red light. Officially, around 23,700 women and men are active in sex work nationwide, so they have registered their trade. However, the number of unreported cases is likely to be significantly higher. The erotic portal “Erobella” has now analyzed what an hour of sex costs on average in the individual federal states.

The so-called “Sex Work Pricing Index” according to a client in the capital pays an average of 141.96 euros for an hour of sex. This puts Berlin in 14th place nationwide.

The most expensive federal state is Hamburg with an average of 174.33 euros, followed by Bavaria (163.21 euros) and Baden-Württemberg (156.95 euros). Berlin’s neighboring federal state of Brandenburg is in 5th place with a flat rate of 150 euros.

According to the study, the cheapest commercial sex is in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania with an average of 130.83 euros. Bremen is in 15th place (136.98 euros), ahead of Saxony-Anhalt (140.96 euros).

To determine this data, the portal compared the prices in 84 German cities and also analyzed 20,000 data sets on its own website.

According to the analysis, the average price in Germany for one hour of sex with a prostitute is 149.69 euros.

And not only federal states were compared with each other. There is also a ranking of the 84 cities examined.

Munich takes first place here with an average of EUR 192.91, followed by Mönchengladbach (EUR 189.78) and Bamberg (EUR 182).

In this list, Berlin comes in 59th place with 141.96 euros in the bottom third of the table.

The cheapest cities for commercial sex are therefore Münster (120.83 euros), followed by Mühlheim an der Ruhr (123.50 euros) and Delmenhorst (124 euros).

By the way: In a survey by the portal, sex workers were asked, among other things, how satisfied they were with their income. Six out of ten stated that they were satisfied with the earnings. However, according to the survey, 10 percent are not.
