That’s how it was with Sarah Connor in the Waldbühne

It’s the little “house music” for the superstar…

When Sarah Connor (43) performs in front of a good 20,000 fans in the sold-out Waldbühne, it’s a slightly different XL concert.

At the gig we still have breakfast at home in the morning. Wake up children, coffee in your own garden. And only then do they go to one of their favorite stages.

Berlin is a highlight for the Berliner by choice. Big topic on Friday evening: Will the weather hold up? Afternoon showers. Then in the evening to start with still 25 degrees, a sultry summer heat and happiness. And a Sarah at 8:33 p.m. sharp with a cowboy hat!

First her song “Halt mich”, then “Deutsches Liebeslied” with a gift for all rock lovers. Musically, Connor moves to the “Paradise City” of the cult band Guns N’ Roses. It rattled properly after song number two. Then greeting: “It’s all just absurd. I’m just overwhelmed. The first minute and a half was just breathing… It’s the craziest thing of all to perform here in the Waldbühne.”

Particularly emotional: In the third song “Bye, bye” Sarah processed the grief and anger at the Corona period. Then the “small town symphony” as a sing-along anthem.

After four years of the “Herz Kraft Werke” tour, Connor also gives hope: “We will always play the Waldbühne in July or August, right?”

Only a short autumn break is planned for Sarah. From the beginning of December she and her band will be on a Christmas tour again. Then on December 3rd in Berlin.
