Thalia Driessens (37) has been sentenced to 21 years of imprisonment in the Leuven Assisenhof. She gets that punishment after being found guilty of parent murder of her adoptive mother Brigitte Vanaudenaeren (68) on Monday. In his requisitoir in the morning in the Leuven Assisenhof, attorney-general Marcel Verbelen still called on to punish more stricter crimes committed under the influence of alcohol and drugs, but Court and Jury saw mitigating circumstances.
