TH Lübeck represented on over 400 square meters at the NordBau 2022 in Neumünster

The department construction TH Lübeck presents a wide range of research and teaching projects at NordBau. The “Research Pavilion”, the “Forum Circular Economy Construction – Reuse I Recycling” and the “Initiative Construction” are represented for the first time in a coherent area at NordBau. In addition, Ukrainian exchange students and project staff together with Prof. Helmut Offermann will present a stand with projects currently underway with the partner universities of TH Lübeck in the Ukraine.

Research Pavilion (Hall 1)

In the field of digital design and construction, master’s students in the courses of architecture and civil engineering have been dealing with topics of digitization in construction and the circular economy since the winter semester 21/22. They made designs for a research pavilion (link to web news). The result from the digital model to the one-to-one prototype is now being presented in Hall 1 at NordBau. Under the direction of Prof. Dr. Michael Herrmann, Prof. Dr. Benjamin Spaeth and Prof. Dr. Günther Schall, the Master’s students concentrated on the development of a sustainable material system made of biopolymer and flax for 3D printing with a robot. During the last two semesters they worked on the realization of the research pavilion with the help of the industrial partners WEBER Additive and UPM Formi Biopolymere.

On Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 2 p.m., the students and professors will open the research pavilion with a public conference at NordBau in Hall 1. From 6 p.m., the research pavilion and the Initiative Bauwesen invite you to a lounge evening. Participation in this program is free. here let’s go to the program.
