Teze writes history with lightning-fast yellow card in Orange | Football

The defender already received a yellow card after three minutes and that is the fastest yellow card ever for a debutant in Orange. Teze got the card for putting a block on Daniel James.

The record was held by Orlando Trustfull, who had been booked after nine minutes in his 1995 debut against Belarus. Later in that international match, Trustfull also provided the assist for Youri Mulder’s winning goal, which meant that the Orange squad remained in the race for qualification for the European Championship. That was eventually achieved via a play-off game (2-0 win over Ireland).

Teze is the 101st PSV player to make an appearance in the Dutch national team. This makes PSV the third largest supplier of the Dutch national team after Ajax (129 internationals) and Feyenoord (107 internationals).
