Test match between Mönchengladbach and Ukraine – football – sport

Borussia announced on Friday that the friendly match between the two teams will take place on May 11th. Admission prices in Borussia Park will be greatly reduced, Ukraine refugees have free entry. The advance ticket sales begin immediately, according to the Borussia side.

All proceeds from the game will be donated to the war-affected country. “We are very happy that we can help the Ukrainian association with this game,” explained managing director Stephan Schippers in the club’s announcement.

Game in preparation for World Cup playoffs

It will be the first game for Ukraine’s selection since the start of the war with Russia earlier this year. It should also serve as preparation for the upcoming World Cup playoffs against Scotland in early June. The team will stay for three days in the hotel at Borussia-Park and will practice on the Gladbach training ground.

Before that, the team for eight Tang is in the training camp in Slovenia. When the war broke out, the Ukrainian championship was interrupted and then cancelled, many of the club’s professionals fled the country and kept fit with other European clubs.
