Hamburger SV continues to work on a firm commitment from Adam Karabec. The 21-year-old offensive player was loaned by Sparta Prague last season and played 33 competitive games (three goals, eight templates).

At the U21 European Championship, the Czech said goodbye to the tournament with a 2-0 win against Slovenia after there were previously defeats against England and Germany. Karabec prepared a goal in the last game.

The originally agreed purchase option of 4.2 million euros has now expired. According to “Bild”, the current claim from Prague is only around three million euros after the early end of the U21 European Championship.

HSV continues to see great potential in Karabec and believe in the Czech Bundesliga suitability. The player himself had already emphasized that they would like to stay in Hamburg.

Former HSV head coach Egon Coordes is dead. He died on June 17 at the age of 80 after a long illness in his house in Memmingen, as his family of the German press agency confirmed. First the “kicker” had reported.

Coordes took over Hamburger SV in March 1992, in the middle of the relegation battle on the 28th matchday. After successful years as an assistant coach at Bayern Munich, he was supposed to exist on the sidelines in Hamburg as a boss in Hamburg.

With 10:10 points-at that time the two-point rule was still in the Bundesliga-the native of Bremerhaven secured the relegation with the HSV. But the start of the 1992/93 season failed: After seven games without a win, Egon Coordes had to leave Hamburg in September after only 193 days in office.

He then worked for a season at Al-Ali in the United Arab Emirates, Austria Vienna (Austria) and Hannover 96. In 1997 Giovanni brought Trappatoni Egon Coordes back to Bayern: He worked in different roles at the record champion until 2021, including as a U19 coach, scout and game analyst.

He ran for Hamburger SV 138 times and scored 49 goals. In particular, his goal in the relegation in 2014 should be remembered forever: This saved the HSV from the first Bundesliga descent. Now the Hanseatic Hanseate hero has declared his active professional career over after around 15 years.

“What a way,” wrote Lasogga on Instagram: “As a young boy, I had the dream of playing in front of thousands of fans in big stadiums – and I was able to experience that. I am incredibly grateful for this trip.”
