Terhi Pölkki, the designer of design shoes, came to the solution for financial reasons. Customer flows have not returned since the corona lockdown. “From now on, our operations will continue at our showroom in Kruununhaa”.

Terhi Pölkin The brick-and-mortar store has been located in the center of Helsinki for almost five years.
– A couple of months ago, I came to the decision to terminate our lease on Uudenmaankatu. The world situation and the decrease in customer flows in the center of Helsinki influenced the decision, as well as the rent increase. I just went to a grocery store in Erottaja, there’s hardly anyone here anymore, says Terhi.
Terhi Pölkki will move to its existing premises in Kruununhaa, and the team will build a showroom there, with shorter opening hours than the store on Uudenmaankatu.
– Now we are selling off the moving load. Almost all of our shoe models are now exceptionally 30-50 percent off.
The shop will close its doors in the center of Helsinki on June 28, but online sales will continue as normal.
-Foreign operations are continued by my agents in, for example, New York, Switzerland and Belgium. Summer sales abroad have been good considering the conditions, Pölkki is happy.
