Tension rises during second round of Turkish elections between Erdogan and Kilicdaroglu: “Several electoral observers attacked”

Turkey’s second, unprecedented round of presidential elections has begun and is tense. Since Sunday morning 8 a.m. local time (7 a.m. Belgian time), citizens can vote for incumbent president Recep Tayyip Erdogan or his opponent Kemal Kilicdaroglu. The polling stations will remain open until Sunday afternoon (4 p.m. Belgian time). Preliminary results are expected in the evening.
