FOOTBALL – The title fight in Saturday 4th division D will remain a battle between two teams: SV Borger and WVV, even after last night. The Drenthe club easily won against Wildervank on its own field, while WVV triumphed by a small margin at HS’88.
Because of those results, the difference between the two teams is three points in favor of Borger, but that team played two more games than the club from Winschoten. Borger comes into action three more times, so Winschoten five more times.
Borger had no trouble with low middle engine Wildervank last night. Hendrik Gustin was the man of the evening. He scored three times. The other goals came in the name of Ruben de Valk and Bas Kaspers.
Next Saturday, Borger will play at Nieuw Balinge, while WVV will face Tiendeveen at home. Both Tiendeveen and Nieuw Balinge compete against direct relegation.
