Amsterdam Pirates lost the third game of the Holland Series in front of its home crowd. Mervin Gario’s team lost 4-8 against Rotterdam’s Neptunus. As a result, the score in the best-of-seven series is 2-1 in favor of the Amsterdam baseball players.
After two canceled matches, both teams were finally able to meet again. Amsterdam Pirates brutally took the lead last weekend with two victories. It seemed that the Amsterdam team was going to continue that line, as after three innings the home team led 4-0 against Neptunus. Yet the Rotterdam team did not give up and came back into the match and even went over the score with 4-8.
The fourth game in the Holland Series is scheduled for tomorrow. Today’s loss does not make the decision tomorrow. Tomorrow’s game between Neptunus and Amsterdam Pirates starts at 2:00 PM.
