Tennis player De Jong takes over physical trainer from Greek Spoor

The sudden departure of Van Bentum, just before the Australian Open, caused outrage at Greek Spoor. “He told me that it was too intense for him and that he didn’t like it anymore. He wanted to go home. I told him that he didn’t have to come back anymore. I don’t think he was fair, there was something going on apparently more. Then it is fairly simple and hard for me. I need people who will go through fire for me,” the tennis player from Nieuw-Vennep said in January.

Shortly after the break between Greek Spoor and Van Bentum, 23-year-old De Jong entered into a partnership with the fitness trainer, shortly after the ABN AMRO Open in Rotterdam.

De Jong is number 137 in the world. He made his debut at a grand slam at the beginning of this year. He reached the second round at the Australian Open.
