In the third grand slam tennis tournament of the season, Wimbledon, 2nd seeded men’s singles Rafael Nadal reached the 4th round, 4th seeded Stefanos Tsitsipas was eliminated.


The 6th day matches of the grass court tournament held in London, the capital of England, have been completed.


Spaniard Nadal, who won 22 grand slam titles, two of them at Wimbledon, faced Italian Lorenzo Sonego (27 seeded) in the 3rd round. Nadal beat his opponent 3-0 with sets of 6-1, 6-2 and 6-4, making his name written in the 4th round.


World number 40 Australian Nick Kyrgios defeated Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas 3-1 with sets ending 6-7, 6-4, 6-3 and 7-6, leaving him out of the tournament.


USA’s Taylor Fritz (11), on the other hand, beat Slovak Alex Molcan, who was 51st in the classification, with a score of 3-0 (6-4, 6-1, 7-6).


In the fourth round, Rafael Nadal-Botic van de Zandschulp, Brandon Nakashima-Nick Kyrgios and Jason Kubler-Taylor Fritz pairings occurred.
