The German tennis legend Angelique Kerber has become a mother for the second time.
“Welcome to our family, Ben,” wrote the 37-year-old on Instagram.
“Our hearts are filled with love and gratitude now that you are in our arms. You are already deeply loved, and we cannot expect to see you grow and discover this beautiful world with us.” She posted a black and white photo on which four different hands can be seen.
Kerber is already a mother of daughter Liana (2). The winner of three Grand Slam titles and former world ranking lists keeps her life partner Franco Bianco largely out of the public.
“Of course we are happy that the second is coming now. I’m curious to see what will come to me now. Of course that is another challenge,” Kerber said when announcing pregnancy. The Kieler had ended her career last year after the Olympic Games in Paris. Kerber lives in Puszczykowo in Poland, where she has a tennis academy.
