Garbin has released the squad list for the preliminary match against Slovakia on 14 and 15 April
Tathiana Garbin, Italy’s captain, has released the list of players called up for the match between Slovakia and Italy valid for the preliminary round of the Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge 2023. Lucia Bronzetti, Elisabetta Cocciaretto will be in the match on 14 and 15 April , Camila Giorgi, Jasmine Paolini and Martina Trevisan. A little over four months after their participation in the Finals in Glasgow, the blues are back on the field against the Slovakian team, which for the occasion will be represented by Anna Karolina Schmiedlova (101 Wta), Viktoria Kuzmova (132 in the world), Tereza Mihalikova ( 48 of the international doubles ranking) and Renata Jamrichova (615 WTA). The captain is Matej Liptak.

The challenge is scheduled on the indoor carpet of the NTC Arena in Bratislava, in the same structure that last year hosted the throbbing Davis Cup challenge won in the decisive match by Filippo Volandri’s Italy against the home team. The Billie Jean King Cup challenges – scheduled from 3pm on Friday and 12pm on Saturday – will be broadcast live and exclusively in Italy on SuperTennis TV, the free-to-air television channel of the Italian Tennis and Padel Federation, and on the SuperTenniX digital platform.
