Tennis player Tamara Korpatsch qualified for the third time in her career for the main field of the French Open.
The 30-year-old secured the ticket for the Grand Slam tournament in Paris by 6: 2, 7: 6 (7: 2) against Rebeka Masarova (Switzerland). Last year Korpatsch had been eliminated there in the 2nd round.
On the other hand, youth hopes Ella Seidel-Casted her second move into the main field of a Grand Slam tournament. The 20-year-old missed two match balls in her qualification finale against Japanese Nao Hibino and lost 6: 2, 5: 7, 4: 6.
In addition to Corphate, Eva Lys, Laura Siegemund and Tatjana Maria qualified via the world rankings. Anna-Lena Friedsam still has the chance to move into the main field on Friday.
