Tennis associations Zuidlaren and Paterswolde get new jobs

Tennis association TV De Marsch Eelde-Paterswolde and ZTC Zuidlaren can look forward to new padel courts. There will be two extra in Paterswolde and Zuidlaren will now also get two.

In addition, the runway lighting at TV De Marsch is being tackled. The lighting has been written off and is being replaced by LED lighting. Tynaarlo is making almost 33,000 euros available for the replacement of that lighting.

The Tynaarlo city council asked whether the tennis association is not treated differently than, for example, football association VAKO. When the Vriezer football club wanted to tackle their lighting, they largely had to pay for it themselves.

Alderman Hans de Graaf (ChristenUnie) indicated that only when lighting has been completely written off, the municipality of Tynaarlo will bear two-thirds of the costs. “If this happens sooner, we will not reimburse.”

Strange, thought Els Kardol (D66) among others. “That would mean that clubs that now want to become more sustainable will not be helped by the municipality of Tynaarlo.”

The council asked for a review of the entire sports policy of the municipality of Tynaarlo. It dates from the last turn of the century. Alderman De Graaf is sympathetic to this.

For the two padel courts that will be newly laid out in Paterswolde and Zuidlaren, the municipality of Tynaarlo is allocating 68,333 euros at a time. The rest of the money comes from the associations themselves.
